The things we do for love...of freebies

First, let me say that I LOVE checking the mail. Everyday I wake up and am super excited about what could possibly be in the mail today. And today was no exception. I didn't really get anything good, but I did get something that stuck out. A non-slip floor grip thingy from Home Depot. Now, I remember signing up for this freebie at the end of May. But I don't know why I signed up for it and what I thought I was going to do with it when it got here... And it got me thinking about the other things I've ordered or gotten myself into all in the name of "free" (there are soooo many, that I'll only bore you with the details of one of them). I belong to this site called Inbox dollars where they send you emails and each email you click on earns you 2 cents and you can "cash out" at $30. I get 2 emails a day. I hope you see where this is going... That's 4 cents. Yep, it will eventually take me 2 years and 20 days to make $30. AND, they also take $3 as a processing fee. So really it takes me 2 years and 20 days to make $27 dollars.... I only have 91 more days until I reach $30! Enough said.

I did find a use for the grippy thing. My cat is lying on it...

  1. well, hey! $30 in 2 years isn't so bad. What if I pay you $0.03 a day to NOT waste your time on that. I mean. I will give you a check at the end of the year for $10.95. But only if you can prove that you AREN'T clicking on emails? yeah. you can't do it.

  2. um, that's a significant drop in what I normally get (which is 4 cents!). So no, I won't take you up on that offer! And not because I couldn't do it.....
