Ever have one of those days where you're just hit with disappointment? It doesn't have to be something big (like in this case), but disappointment nonetheless. So today, I accompanied my wonderful friend to Clemson with the promise of being able to stop by Ben & Jerry's ice cream and sample all kinds of treats. Well... WELL...! THEY CLOSED DOWN! WHAT?! Now the nearest B&J in S. Carolina is in Myrtle Beach. Or I can go to Charlotte. Sigh, all still too far. And to make dessert disappoinment even worse, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory at Haywood Mall is also closed. If you've ever had one of their chocolate and nut dipped apples, then you understand the gravity of this situation. So where will I get an apple from now on? You guessed it, Myrtle. Now when people ask me how I have been affected by the economy, no more will I just focus on not being employed. Oh no, I'll tell them that my dessert hopes have been shattered.
Chick-fil-a's kid cone. Have you seen the size of that thing?! It was amazing, just like CFA always is. It was "my pleasure" to eat it.

I can't believe that chocolate place in the mall closed! One of the highlights of my birthday trip to NOLA was stopping at the chocolate places every day - er- I mean... once or twice.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a chocolate place by the art studios on the Reedy River downtown! I think!! We'll check it out, friend. That's a promise.
I sure hope there's a chocolate place! It's a sad sad time when good chocolate places go bye-bye.
