Deerifyingly afraid

So, I am terrified of deer. More specifically, hitting them with my car. And now that I live in the country, I'm bound to come in contact with them. And I have a confession to make.... There is one reason I miss south Florida.... there is never an unlit moment when you share the county with 2 million other people. Someone is always on the road and they invest a lot of money on road lights. Now, I'm usually not a proponent of destroying natural habitat to put up lighting. But in this case, I'll allow it. If the state of South Carolina wants to pave roads and put up street lamps on roads that I travel, then please go ahead. So, I figure there are only a few ways that I will get over my fear (hitting a deer not being one of them): Drive a big honking semi truck that will plow right through them or move to a more lit area. And since neither of those are happening in the near future, I guess I'll continue being the person that drives 40mph in a 55mph zone (sad for you if you get behind me) or..... I'll mysteriously only hang out with you during daylight hours.
